We are pleased to announce our newest Executive Member to our community. - Sepand Samzadeh MBA, founder and CEO of Los Angeles-based, SustainAble Technology Solutions.
Sepand is a mechanical engineering graduate of the University of Toronto with an MBA from Pepperdine University and is currently studying at UCLA to attain his Sustainability Certificate. In 2012, he was appointed by the Mayor of Los Angeles to promote LA as a business friendly city and served as a City Commissioner in the Department of Building and Safety. Prior to that Sepand co-owned a recycling plant providing recycling services, notably taking Fortune 500 companies towards Zero Waste.
He has since founded SustainAble Technology Solutions (STS) to bring a Canadian-developed technology to the United States. STS was formed to provide innovative solutions for commercial, residential, educational, hospitality, medical, and industrial building owners and operators. STS provides its clients with forensic data, unavailable to the market before, detailing the thermal behavior of a building’s envelope by deploying leading-edge technology and energy industry expertise that assists clients in achieving their cost management and sustainability goals.
Sepand has been in the recycling and sustainability world for over 20 years.
