We are delighted to announce our first Young Professional Member for our community. As you may have seen in an earlier announcement this year, we created a new membership tier for young professionals who are career-track individuals as executives or entrepreneurs under the age of 30.

Please join us in welcoming Los Angeles-based Brandon Okumura to our MAPLE membership. Brandon is the founder of Okie Media - a creative video production company based in Southern California. With his team's background in narrative filmmaking, Okie Media brings a creative spin to corporate and commercial video production for businesses of all sizes. We can attest to the quality of his team's work as Brandon shoots and edits our MAPLE Conversations series which has already grown to 40 episodes of our members sharing stories and insights.

A native of Scarborough, Ontario, Brandon moved to California when he was four years old. Growing up, he found a passion in filmmaking and began making short films in his spare time. After graduating from the University of California Los Angeles, Brandon began working at the Greater Irvine Chamber of Commerce as a media coordinator before founding Okie Media through which he has since worked with companies such as NBC News, Netflix, Idea Hall, Echo Media Group, and the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. Brandon is a passionate filmmaker and advocate for Asian American representation in media and believes in the power of a good story.

Brandon can be reached at brandon@okie-media.com and at (714) 742-3639.

Please join us in welcoming Brandon to our MAPLE community and as always, thank you for your support and participation.
