5 years strong. It is hard to believe that it has already been five years since we launched MAPLE Business Council. It has been an incredible journey thanks to the countless contributions of so many people across Canada and Southern California.
We wish to start by thanking the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles who suggested that our team who launched our social network, Canadians in Orange County, consider the potential of a business network focused on cross-border investment and trade. Thank you in particular to former Deputy Consul General Rashma Agarwal for your vision and to everyone at the Consulate past and present for your continued support.
Fast forward to the present day and after 75 events from Vancouver to Montréal and across Southern California, multiple delegations to Canada, more than 100 newsletters & videos and nearly 10k tweets, we are continuing to grow. Thank you for the contributions and participation of our board and leadership team, both past and present, our incredible members and wonderful partners.
It is truly a privilege to work on behalf of this collective cross-border community of executives, organizations, institutions and communities to underline the many ways the economies of Canada and Southern California intersect through investment, trade and entrepreneurship.
And as we embark on our 6th year together we are excited to announce that MAPLE Business Council has itself inspired the launch of a new organization with a mission to help businesses grow north and south through dedicated consulting work at MAPLE Business Advisors - a new cross-border advisory services firm.
