Challenger Motor Freight President Jim Peeples Joins MAPLE Business Council

Together with our Executive Director of MAPLE New York, John Costanzo, it is our pleasure to welcome Jim Peeples, President and COO of Cambridge, Ontario- based Challenger Motor Freight Inc. to our cross-border community as an Executive Member with a primary chapter affiliation with our recently launched New York Chapter.

 Founded in 1975, Challenger is one of Canada's largest privately owned transportation and logistics companies transporting goods between Canada and anywhere across North America as well as internationally with a full range of transportation, logistics, warehousing and distribution services. Service is available within Canada and between points in Canada, the U.S., or Mexico.  Challenger’s in-house Customs Team provides the expertise to ensure incident-free border crossings and employs industry leading satellite and telemetric technology for tremendous customer visibility throughout the entire shipping process. Challenger also provides Supply Chain Management Services to maximize customer value and gain a competitive advantage in the continuously evolving marketplace.

Jim joined Challenger in the capacity of COO in 2012 and has since taken on the role of President. A graduate with a degree in Engineering from TUNS (now Dalhousie), Jim spent 13 years with Michelin Tire where he worked in many capacities in Canada, the U.S. and Europe and was recognized for his expertise with people and processes. Following a successful career at Michelin, Jim joined Purolator Courier in 1999 where he  held continually progressive positions in Hub Operations, Quality and Engineering, Technology, Real Estate, Air Operations, Fleet, Engineering and IT over 13 years. 

Jim has been a board member of Excellence Canada and the Canadian Trucking Alliance and the national board of directors of Supply Chain Canada.
