World Trade Center LA President Stephen Cheung to Keynote MAPLE Vancouver Reception

We are honored to be welcoming Mr. Stephen Cheung, President of World Trade Center Los Angeles, WTCLA, as our keynote speaker at our upcoming cross-border reception in Vancouver. Our reception is an opportunity to reconnect with the Vancouver market since our March 2017 delegation as we explore opportunities to promote trade and investment between two vibrant markets.

Stephen will provide an overview of key trends and opportunities in the Greater Los Angeles market for businesses in Vancouver seeking to engage with the LA region. Stephen is uniquely qualified to share the 'LA story' as he brings a wealth of LA market leadership to his current role.

As President of WTCLA, he and his team work to support the development of international trade and business opportunities for Southern California companies as the leading international trade association, trade service organization and trade resource in the Los Angeles region. Stephen has served as the Secretary General for Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and was responsible for managing policies and programs related to the Port of Los Angeles, Los Angeles World Airports, International Affairs and Global Trade. Stephen served on the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Regional Export Council and the Los Angeles Business Council, and was the lead organizer for Mayor Garcetti’s international trade missions to Mexico, China, Korea and Japan. Concurrently, Stephen was the Director of International Trade for the Port of Los Angeles – the busiest container port in North America, and was responsible for developing programs to increase trade through the Port of Los Angeles, and facilitate goods movement through the Southern California region.

The MAPLE reception will be held on April 16th from 5:00-8:30 pm at the offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in downtown Vancouver. More information on how to register will be shared shortly.
