It is with great pleasure that we welcome businesses in New York and the tri-state region to our inaugural MAPLE New York Chapter event.
We will be meeting virtually so as to connect with one another as soon as possible to share the mission of MAPLE Business Council® to be a catalyst for bilateral investment, trade, and entrepreneurship between Canada and the United States within New York.
Founded in Southern California in 2015 as a cross-sector executive-level membership organization, MAPLE hosts networking events, leads commercial delegations, provides thought-leadership content platforms and curates cross-border news for Canadian and U.S. businesses to do more together. MAPLE has worked closely with the Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles and is recognized as a business networking partner.
We recently launched our New York Chapter led by John Costanzo - formerly the president of Purolator International. John is a recognized voice in New York economic development circles and, in addition to his other commitments, he chairs the international trade committee at the Long Island Association and serves on a regional economic development council for Governor Cuomo. John is President & CEO of consulting firm, LDK Global Logistics.

Our Special Guest
To mark the special occasion of the launch of MAPLE in New York, we are honored to welcome Acting Consul General of Canada in New York, Khawar Nasim, as our special guest. John Costanzo will engage CG Nasim in a fireside chat including some of the strategic priorities of the Canadian government in the New York region, the importance of the recently activated USMCA trade agreement to the regional economy, and will profile the extent of the bilateral economic ties between Canada and New York state.

In addition, MAPLE New York Executive Director John Costanzo will highlight our mission and scope of work in the region as MAPLE New York gets underway and will be joined by MAPLE Business Council co-founders, Robert Kelle and Stephen Armstrong, from Southern California.
We look forward to welcoming attendees from the tri-state region and across Canada to share in the launch of MAPLE New York - a new business networking focal point for Canada-New York cross-border growth.
