Robert Catell Chairman of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center Joins MAPLE Business Council

Together with MAPLE New York Executive Director, John Costanzo, it is with great pleasure that we welcome Robert Catell, Chairman of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center (AERTC) and Chairman of the National Offshore Wind Research and Development Consortium, to MAPLE as an Executive Member.

 Mr. Catell was formerly the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of KeySpan Corporation and KeySpan Energy Delivery, the former Brooklyn Union Gas Company. His career with Brooklyn Union Gas began in 1958. He was appointed Chairman of National Grid U.S. in 2007 following its acquisition of KeySpan Corporation. Mr. Catell served as a director and later Chairman of the Board of Keyera - one of the largest midstream oil and gas operators in Canada. He is a member of the board of directors/trustees of numerous industry and business organizations including serving on the New York Advisory Committee of the Québec Délégation Générale. He received both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the City College of New York.
